Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants

Description:
For the past several years the #1 legislative priority of KAPA has been prescriptive authority for PAs in Kentucky. Year over year our efforts have grown and this photo shows our most dramatic increase from our Lobby Day in 2016 vs our Lobby Day in 2017. Kentucky remains the last state in the country to allow for prescriptive authority for PAs and our grassroots momentum has grown leaps and bounds as we seek to advance this agenda. Given the rural nature of our Commonwealth we need PAs to close the healthcare gap in Kentucky.
