Washington, D.C. (Feb. 14) — CQ Roll Call announced on Tuesday, February 14 that it will award four separate year-long subscriptions to its newest advocacy product, Ignite, to the winners of a two-month-long photo contest aimed at nonprofit and association professionals.
Advocacy has taken on a renewed momentum as the new administration seeks to change policies in Washington. Through the “Ignite Your Advocacy” Photo Contest, organizations both old and new will have a chance to win a professional advocacy solution.
The photo contest launched February 14 and will remain open for submissions until April 15, 2017. CQ Roll Call plans to choose four winners to be announced May 1; two will be selected via a panel of advocacy experts and two will be determined by popular vote, which should give all organizations, big or small, an equal chance to win.
How will the contest be judged? “We want to see what people are passionate about. What gets them out of bed in the morning, working on a nonprofit salary, and keeps them inspired and determined day after day? We want them to show us why their mission matters so much to them,” says Ann Dermody, editor of CQ Roll Call’s advocacy blog, Connectivity, and Content Marketing Manager at CQ Roll Call.
Each of the four winners will receive a year-long subscription to Ignite by CQ Roll Call, a fast and easy digital advocacy campaign builder that allows users to quickly build a website, create a call-to-action center and help supporters engage their elected officials on pressing issues.
The tool debuts on the market at a hot time for advocacy, as organizations mobilize in support of or opposition to the new administration. “Many people are turning to advocacy for the first time, but may lack the resources or technical savvy to purchase and implement a professional, advocacy solution. The chance to win a simple, nonpartisan tool like Ignite through a fun photo contest could be a really great opportunity for those folks,” says Tom Whitmire, Vice President of Marketing at CQ Roll Call.
Ignite gives advocacy professionals four essential ingredients to create simple, professional advocacy campaigns quickly, without IT experience or prior training.
- Fast, out-of-the-box set-up
- Do-it-yourself campaign setup – no long training process or struggling with a complicated technology stack
- Easy-to-use, professional website and email builder
- Clear calls to action – post a comment on regulations.gov, sign a petition, make a call, write a letter, register to vote
Winners will also receive a dedicated Customer Success Manager and the chance to be featured in Connectivity, CQ Roll Call’s advocacy and grassroots blog.
