Washington, D.C. (Feb. 18) — CQ Roll Call, an Economist Group business, has named Jerry Sealy to the multi-platform role of Director of Visual Presentation.
Sealy, who was previously Creative Director at National Geographic Traveler, also art-directed and designed for U.S. News & World Report and The Philadelphia Inquirer. In addition to consumer magazines and newspapers, his work spans books, mobile products and websites.
“I am excited to be joining such a dynamic and distinguished team at CQ Roll Call. My commitment is to enhance the user experience across all platforms and to provide the highest level of visual presentation of our political news, information, and analysis,” said Sealy.
Sealy joins the CQ Roll Call team on Monday, Feb. 22, and will report to Kris Viesselman, Senior Director for Digital Content and New Products.
“We’re thrilled to be welcoming a visual journalist of Jerry’s caliber to our team,” Viesselman said. “He’ll play a key role in helping us shape and package compelling content across products and platforms.”
The company is aggressively upgrading existing products – and developing new offerings – around its unique, trusted content that explains Washington and adds context to legislation and policy.
Sealy’s arrival marks the latest in a series of high-profile hires with deep backgrounds in user experience. “Jerry has a proven track record of delivering smart, useful, engaging products,” said Matt Mansfield, VP for Product Innovation. “CQ Roll Call clients are the real winners here.”
Sealy’s work has been honored by the Society of Publication Designers, the Society of American Travel Writers, and the Society for News Design, among others.
