CQ Roll Call Partners with Alliance to Prevent the Abuse of Medicines for Prescription Drug Event

 

Washington, D.C. (Feb. 19, 2015) – CQ Roll Call announced today, in partnership with the Alliance to Prevent the Abuse of Medicines and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the event, The Economic Impact of Prescription Drug Abuse on Monday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the U.S Chamber of Commerce. The event will bring together members of Congress, governors, government officials and experts from the medical and pharmaceutical industries to find actionable solutions to this growing problem.

The event will feature keynote addresses from Gov. Charlie Baker (R-Ma.), Sen. Rob Portman (R-Oh.), Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-Va.).

The keynote addresses will be followed by a panel moderated by Adriel Bettelheim, managing editor for health at CQ Roll Call, with Alex Brill, Matrix Global Advisors, Tom Coderre, SAMHSA, Sherry L. Green, Sherry L. Green and Associates, and Kevin Sabet, Drug Policy Institute at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
